My name is Yolima and I am truly excited to welcome you to my first blog. In fact, my very first post. Bienvenidos!
This is a blog about coffee, but don't get fool by what may seem a simple word describing your morning drink, because there is so much more to coffee than you can even imagine, and it is my job to convince you of that. All I need from you is some patience and of course lots of feedback.
I am a native Colombian woman, born and raised on a coffee farm. I am the founder of my coffee import business Paisa Coffee LLC and I can't explain how thankful and proud I am to be able to call myself a coffee farmer. I am really excited to share with you all my love and passion for coffee and I can't wait to show you all the magic behind your daily cup of coffee. As a native Colombian most of my knowledge involves Colombian coffee, but that does not mean we can't discuss other origins and eventually we will.
You should know that as a native Colombian, most of my knowledge involves Colombian coffee, but that does not mean we can't discuss other origins and eventually we will.
I am currently living in Arlington Virginia U.S. I came here three years ago pursuing my dreams of learning a new language and finding opportunities for my family's delicious coffee, of which by the way, no one single roaster knew until two years ago. Sadly that is the true story of many wonderful undiscovered coffees out there. Thanks to the help I got from wonderful people, along with dedication and hard work I can happily say I am on the right path today. I still have a long way to go but I am enjoying the journey and as long as I have a cup of coffee on hand there is really not much that can go wrong.

Today I am a U.S. Coffee importer, currently bringing in only my families coffee from Colombia and working directly with specialty coffee roasters interested in connecting with the source. Everyone in the coffee community has welcomed me with open arms and that means a lot to me, is that why I want to give back at least a little by sharing all I know with all of you.
I know a lot of coffee producers, including my own family. My parents are still living and working at the farm and same as most of my uncles and cousins they produce a wonderful coffee, and I am not saying it because they are my family but because is true. So please feel free to ask any questions about the origins of coffee, I promise if i don't know the answer I will find it out for you. While we meet again please visit my Facebook and Instagram pages to learn more.
See you soon...
